Cathy Crenshaw joined the family business immediately upon graduating from college. Under Ms. Crenshaw's leadership, Sloss has grown into one of the leading renovators of historic commercial buildings in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Ms. Crenshaw also works tirelessly for the revitalization and enhancement of Birmingham's unique commercial and residential downtown districts.

Ms. Crenshaw graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a B.A. in English in 1975. She received her CCIM Designation in 1991. Cathy was chosen as Woman of the Year in 2002 by The Birmingham Business Journal. She is the Broker of Record for Sloss Real Estate.

Ms. Crenshaw serves on the Board of Directors of many notable organizations including; The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, The Birmingham Branch of The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, The Lakeshore Foundation, Brookwood Hospital, Birmingham Rotary Club, Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, and Operation New Birmingham, where she served as chairperson in 2003.

Ms. Crenshaw is a full member of The Urban Land Institute where she also serves on the Inner City Council as a ULI member, she has participated in Advisory Service Panels and Forums.
