Historic Dr Pepper Building Welcomes The Little Red Print Shop to Pepper Place
Local artist Jessica Leitch opens her first storefront, bringing original block prints and a new creative business to Birmingham's historic Pepper Place district.
Pepper Place has a new creative addition! Local artist Jessica Leitch recently celebrated the opening of The Little Red Print Shop's first storefront in the basement of the historic Dr Pepper building.
Known for her hand-carved block prints, Jessica creates original artwork inspired by everyday objects, nature, and familiar Birmingham landmarks. Her work celebrates the beauty in ordinary moments, including a colorful bunch of rainbow Swiss chard she discovered at the Farmers Market at Pepper Place.
In a recent SoulGrown feature, Jessica shares the story behind her business and her journey from discovering block printing to opening her first retail space.
The shop's opening is another example of how Pepper Place continues to evolve while maintaining the character of its historic buildings. What was once part of Birmingham's industrial landscape is now home to a growing mix of independent retailers, restaurants, designers, and creative businesses.
At Sloss Real Estate, we love seeing historic spaces find new purpose and local entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life. Businesses like The Little Red Print Shop contribute to the energy and individuality that make Pepper Place such a special part of Birmingham.
Congratulations to Jessica on this exciting milestone! We're delighted to welcome The Little Red Print Shop to the district.
